Day 1st: Friday 13th of August 2021 at 21:00 in Poseidonia Square (Macheira), Aigio
Contemporary dance performance entitled “An exotic moment”
The following performance is a social choreography!
Have you thought about what it is like to dance out of the city?
Out of the box?
Have you thought about how potentially colorful the countryside is and how much it lacks a palette of dance colors to start beautifying it too?
Art is everywhere, it is alive and it takes shape in the province and specifically in Aigio.
Four artists from different places. Two professional dancers, a musician / piano composer and a singer who plays Cretan traditional lyre combine their passion and knowledge to create a modern dance performance! The Cretan lyre comes to be combined with the piano creating compositions of traditional music dancing modern dance. Using modern dance as a tool, the dancers create two different drama conditions by combining minimal techno music with traditional music. An alloy of music and dance create a new atmosphere live on stage.
Day 2nd: Saturday 14th of August 2021 at 20:45 outside the old raisin warehouse Kritsotalaki-Kanellopoulos, Zoodochou Pigis street, Aigio
Poetic route-Haikou weather
The Poetic Route is an effort of sensory re-appropriation of space, through the creation of 17 poetic stops in the wider area of Aigialeia (Longos Aigio, Selianitika, Akoli [Abythos], Aigio Town, Alyki Beach).
The choice of area is not random. Much of the original collection of the book Weather Haikou maps, among other things, the area of Aigio. Forgotten landmarks, saturated sights, places of low tourist but high poetic value, busy or disreputable places: the amusement park in Selianitika, the plane tree in the square of Loggos, the tamarisk of Aliki etc. The goal is the comparison of representation and “reality” and finally, the union of poetic and literal space and time. Therefore, 17 haiku markers and their audiovisual counterparts were placed at the points mentioned by these poetic pairs (one haiku and one Qr code for each stopping point). The visitor will be able to read the short poem and scan the QR code with his / her smartphone camera or with a special scanning application that is pre-installed on most smartphones.
