In this online consultation forum active citizens and organizations are given the chance to present their ideas on issues regarding the topic: How to make Gravina a Tourist Destination of Value.
The ideas are categorized as follows:
PROJECT F.A.M.E. BOOK - COLLATERAL CULTURE
The idea of “F.A.M.E. BOOK: Collateral Culture “which also wants to give Puglia a moment of meeting and reflection on cultural themes, literature and fiction that is linked to the specificities of a region with unique geomorphological and cultural characteristics.
The F.A.M.E.project BOOK – Collateral Culture gives the possibility to create events around a book, placing at the center not only books and culture but the territory in all its declinations and artistic forms. At the center is the local cultural identity expressed through a sensorial storytelling, an evolutionary journey on the road. The book thus becomes a journey that transforms readers into the protagonists of exciting and engaging stories, immersed in the atmosphere of a place or glimpses of the landscape.
Cultural itineraries can become an instrument of knowledge both for the conservation of our cultural heritage and as an opportunity to discover unusual or unpublished aspects of a territory, giving Puglia a notable positioning as a reference destination for literary tourism.
At the heart of this project is the creation of a Book Festival for the dissemination of culture and knowledge related to the publishing sector with two different declinations:
- famous books
- books that “maybe” will become.
The innovative approach is linked to the combination of a “collateral” artistic representation capable of influencing and enhancing the two activities. The main objective is to start from the cultural enhancement of material and intangible rural resources and from the food and wine tradition to be able to relate the user to uncontaminated and hidden landscapes that are now able to attract new visitors who respect the environment.
The format provides for the presentation of books in line with the themes of the F.A.M.E. with relative reading, live music, film screenings and food and wine for evenings under the banner of Mediterranean Culture.
A. THE MODEL
- “F” stands for FOOD which contains the cardinal principles of wholesomeness, typicality and the Mediterranean diet.
- “A” of ART where you want to enhance the artistic connotation of local communities.
- “M” of MOVE where cultural movements take charge of promoting territorial growth.
- “E” of EVENTS to raise awareness of the energy of places with particular attention to economic, social and environmental sustainability.
The goal is to identify and test a new development model for natural and cultural heritage capable of building new development trajectories connected to the territory and the population. The most important places of our cultural identity are grasslands to be filled and not reserves to be closed, there is a need for innovative places, routes and methods of use in harmony with the drives of local communities and young people.
Farms, traditions, wine, cultural debate, technological innovation and entrepreneurship as keywords of the deep debate necessary for the territories, for the custodian communities of cultural identities, also fundamental for the rebirth and promotion of tourism without forgetting the fundamental work of inspiration that our generation must implement in favor of young people, in an attempt to make known the local traditions and entrepreneurial stories that have built progress and a sustainable economy from those traditions.
The fundamental objective is to trigger the debate on innovation starting from tradition, rediscovering places of identity through authentic flavors, through books, events and narratives.
