The Museum of Ceramics in Grottaglie is located inside the Episcopio Castle in what were once the stables of the building. After adequate restoration work, these rooms have become a highly evocative exhibition space.

The museum and its 400 handicraft products cover a time span from the 8th century B.C. to the present day. The Museum is currently divided into five sections:

  • Traditional Ceramics
  • Archaeological
  • Majolica tiles
  • Contemporary ceramics
  • Nativity scenes

Unique and original artefacts, moustached dolls and jugs with secrets, majolica but also simple everyday objects, which come from public and private collections, are the exceptional narrators of Grottaglie’s village and its history.
