Poetic route-Haikou weatherWe all enjoyed a differrent approach of Aigialeia through a poetic route!
The Poetic Route is an effort of sensory re-appropriation of space, through the creation of 17 poetic stops in the wider area of Aigialeia (Longos Aigio, Selianitika, Akoli [Abythos], Aigio Town, Alyki Beach).
The choice of area was not random. Forgotten landmarks, saturated sights, places of low tourist but high poetic value, busy or disreputable places: the amusement park in Selianitika, the plane tree in the square of Loggos, the tamarisk of Aliki etc.The goal was the comparison of representation and “reality” and finally, the union of poetic and literal space and time and it was achieved.

Drive in, fast cars and solidarity for volunteer forest firefightersA different drive in screening of the Ford V Ferrari film took place in the Old Port of Aigio on Saturday, August 14, as part of the Thairo Film Festival organized by the Aigio Film Club Κινηματογραφική Λέσχη Αιγίου with the support of the Municipal Public Benefit Enterprise of Aigialia Δημοτική Κοινωφελής Επιχείρηση Αιγιάλειας, the Municipal Port Fund Δημοτικό Λιμενικό Ταμείο Αιγιαλείας and the Interreg FAME Road.
The screening was dedicated to the strengthening of the voluntary civil protection group “Achaios” which has shown important work in the field of fire protection and beyond. The spectators had the opportunity to actively support the association “Achaios” by making a donation, since its members attended there talking and informing the public about their actions.
The two muscle cars that framed the screening, offered by Ford Car Center putting the viewers in the mood of the movie.
